The History of Golf Cards

Many of these cards have appreciated in value nicely, selling for a few thousand dollars. While production of golf cards continued through the 1900s, they really didn't make a major comeback in value until the 1980s and 1990s.

The County Card is a benefit that provides special rates at over 1300 courses, in some 32 counties in England.

To read a golf scorecard, start by looking at the top row, which lists each hole number. In the row beneath the hole numbers, you'll see the distance from the tee to each hole. Below that, look for the handicap to see how difficult the hole is, with 1 being the hardest and 18 being the easiest.

When it comes to a full round, the gold standard of golf is often considered to be breaking 100. This means that for an 18-hole course with a par of 72, scores in the 90s are seen as good for an average golfer. However, lower handicap players would target scores in the 70s or low 80s.

County Cards Offer tremendous Value
